When I opened Oasis Accents in 2017, I was following my passion and love for decorating and my goal of becoming a small business owner. I saw an opportunity to leverage the significant commercial and residential growth in Frisco, TX. I pivoted to selling more and more artwork, right before the pandemic, based on my customers needs.
Fast forward, I had absolutely no idea that my purpose had nothing to do with decorating at all. It was so much greater than that. As time has passed, I have evolved, stayed true to who I am and what brings me joy. I love arts and entertainment, I love experiencing diverse cultures and I love to lead. More importantly, no matter what I do, I want to GROW and have a BIG IMPACT. I’m never satisfied with the status quo.
I’m truly blessed and honored to Chair, Frisco Arts Foundation through a historic period of growth for the arts. This past Tuesday evening, I presented our annual report to City Council and shared our vision for The Renaissance Era in Frisco.
I’m so happy that I let my passion evolve, that I listened to my inner voice and above all, that I let God order my steps because in the end, it’s not my plan, but HIS plan.
So while I still love decorating, my purpose is about leading a dedicated team of servant leaders, in order to broaden our vision for the arts, cast a wider net to bring more innovative arts programming and deepen the impact we have within our great Frisco community. I’m truly blessed!
