A great day of golf and camaraderie was enjoyed by 140 golfers at Frisco Family Services’ 15th Annual Mayor’s Golf Classic on Monday, June 19, 2017, at Stonebriar Country Club, presented by Baylor, Scott, & White Medical Center of Frisco.  Frisco’s Mayor Jeff Cheney was joined on the course by local community members and business leaders, and the tournament was chaired by Robert Chase, BB&T Market President of North Dallas, and Andrew Sefzik, Attorney at Strasburger & Price LLP.

The golfers demonstrated their commitment to the community and their neighbors in crisis by raising funds to support the mission of Frisco Family Services.  Proceeds from the Mayor's Golf Classic benefit Frisco Family Services’ programs and services that assist more than 3,700 individuals in the Frisco and Frisco ISD communities each year.

“Frisco Family Services helped one of my family members at a time when they needed it the most,” said Mayor Jeff Cheney. “A lot of people think that Frisco is an affluent community and there isn’t a need; there is a need in this community. I am thankful for Frisco Family Services, and I am glad I get to pay it forward.”

Frisco Family Services continues to experience an increase in demand for services as the community continues to grow, which makes the success of the Mayor’s Golf Classic critical each year.
