The Frisco Education Foundation will host its popular summer camp for Frisco ISD middle school students the week of June 23-27, 2014.

Mindbender Academy encourages participants to explore the world of science, technology, engineering, art and math. Each day features a new subject and fun, hands-on activities to extend learning outside the classroom.

Corporate sponsors, partners and volunteers lend their time and expertise each year to make Mindbender Academy possible, along with Frisco ISD staff. The program first debuted in June 2008.

Mindbender Academy is open to FISD students entering grades 6-8 in the 2014-2015 school year. Two sessions will be available: 8 a.m. to noon or 1 to 5 p.m. Only one session per student.

The camp will be held at the Frisco ISD Career and Technical Education Center, 9889 Wade Boulevard in Frisco. The cost is $125 per student.

Registration will open at 7 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2014.

Due to the popularity of the program, it is strongly recommended that parents set up an online account before registration begins. Failure to do so may impact the student’s ability to attend Mindbender Academy.
