Gear up for a day of fishing, because the 8th Annual Trick-A-Trout Kid Fish is in Frisco on Saturday, Feb. 4.

The Frisco Parks & Recreation department will release 3,150 Rainbow Trout into the pond at Frisco Commons Park, and from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., kids up to the age of 16 will have the opportunity to learn about fishing and catch up to five trout per person.  In addition, the first 25 kids that catch a trout will win a rod and reel combo set.

Those who attend are asked to bring their own fishing pole and tackle and are encouraged to keep what they catch.

After the Trick-A-Trout Kid Fish, adults can join in on the fun.  Those 17 years of age and older must have a Texas fishing license.
