We all slack a little on our exercise routine this time of year, but getting up early this weekend for the Frosty 5K and Merry Mile might help you make up for it.

This Saturday, December 10, the City of Frisco will present the Frosty 5K and Merry Mile races at Simpson Plaza at City Hall.  The event will feature a 1-mile run at 8 a.m. and the 5K race at 8:30 a.m.  Awards will be presented to the 1st Place Overall, 1st Place Masters male/female runners and Top 3 male/female finishers in each age division.  Team awards will include Largest Team, Best T-shirt, Most Creative and Most Spirited teams.

The Merry Mile is $20 on race day and the 5K will be $30 on race day.  Proceeds benefit S.O.A.R. (Scholarship Opportunities for Activities and Recreation) Charitable Fund.  S.O.A.R. was created to allow residents of Frisco that qualify the opportunity to participate in recreation programs and special events.
