Instead of sleeping in this weekend, get up and get moving early at the inaugural Dallas Cup 5K & Fun Run, happening on Saturday, April 4 at FC Dallas Stadium in Frisco.

Residents throughout North Texas are invited to run, jog or walk in the event benefiting Dallas is Diversity, a program designed to promote the well-being of kids through athletics, cultural appreciation and educational opportunities.  In addition, Dallas is Diversity teaches diversity through the game of soccer.

Presented by Dr Pepper, Nike, Luke's Locker, Market Street, and more, the Dallas Cup 5K race will feature a 5K and a Fun Run, consisting of a .6 mile course.  Races will begin and end at FC Dallas Stadium.

Events are scheduled to begin with registration and packet pick-up at 7 a.m. on Race Day.  The Fun Run will begin at 8 a.m. and the 5K will begin at 8:30 a.m.  

Registration is $10 for the Fun Run and $35 for the 5K through April 5.  The 5K registration fee increases to $40 on Race Day.

Included in the registration fee is a custom short-sleeved technical shirt, race bib, chronotrac timing chip (5K only), two tickets to the Dallas Cup Final on April 8, and product samples from race sponsors.
