Preparing Every Town, Person, and Residence for Emergency Planning (PETPREP) is the first and only animal, emergency preparedness, charitable, educational, non-profit organization. PETPREP was founded in an effort to eradicate the lack of animal, emergency preparedness and to mitigate animal displacement due to disasters. The programmatic thrust of PETPREP is designed to positively enrich the minds of all persons regarding animal, emergency preparedness, help owners and caregivers of pets (such as cats, dogs, birds, etc.) take the appropriate steps before the next disaster strikes, and to partner with area food banks during disaster relief efforts to ensure that animals also receive a care package.
