Mercer Boardwalk in Farmers Branch is quickly becoming one of the most exciting dining destinations in North Texas. The high-profile development, located at 635 and Luna Rd., has already announced four planned restaurants, with the first of those opening next month. Now, Mercer Boardwalk will become the home of one of Dallas’ most beloved restaurants and the first North Texas location for a celeb chef’s signature place. Both are slated to open during the first quarter of 2024, with Bugatti’s planning to be open by January.

Bugatti’s, a Dallas landmark for more than three decades, will relocate to Mercer Boardwalk, bringing with it all of the glamour of the legendary Bluffview locale. Owner Zee Bugatti has been long anticipating his return to the dining room full of regular guests.

"We are thrilled to see all of our guests at the new Bugatti’s, where you can find great food and fantastic company,” said Bugatti. “We continue our tradition of delivering first-class dining on a first-name basis now at Mercer Boardwalk, with the only thing changing - the address.”

Bugatti’s is recognized for offering a menu of authentic Northern Italian cuisine and light fare offerings created with in-home-crafted recipes. However, the hallmark of Bugatti’s has always been the unparalleled guest experience, inspired by owner, Zee Bugatti.  His philosophy of “First Class Dining on a First Name Basis” perfectly captures the Bugatti dining experience.  Every guest, even on their first visit, is made to feel like a long-time, regular customer. The restaurant is renowned for catering some of the region’s most important special events.

Bugatti’s will be joined by Drunken Oyster, the acclaimed Cajun-inspired restaurant and absinthe bar created by Chef Rory Schepisi. Schepisi rose to fame while on The Next Food Network Star.

Chef Schepisi trained at the Culinary Institute of America and opened Drunken Oyster in Amarillo in 2017. The restaurant’s design inspires guests to experience 1930’s New Orleans, with gas lanterns, brick walls, cast iron chandeliers and velvet curtains. The immersive aesthetic is a perfect complement for the Drunken Oyster’s extensive seafood menu, including a carefully curated collection of East Coast and Canadian oysters. Live entertainment, including regional blues and jazz favorites, will enchant guests each weekend.

“Whether you’ve visited the Big Easy or not, Drunken Oyster will give Dallas diners a taste of N’Awlins unlike any other,” promises Schepisi. “And our one-of-a-kind Absinthe Bar will showcase craft cocktails and the perfect absinthe experience.”

Drunken Oyster and Bugatti’s will join previously announced restaurants including:

  • Barrel & Bones Craft Bar & Smokehouse
  • Black Agave Cocina y Cantina
  • Dough Bro’s to Go
  • Copa Club

The development is the newest hospitality project of Centurion American Development Group. CEO Mehrdad Moayedi believes the diversity of offerings at Mercer Boardwalk will be key to its success.

“Mercer Boardwalk will become where Dallas goes to play,” suggests Moayedi. “With concepts that are new to North Texas, restaurants open from early to late, and such an amazing array of cuisine, Farmers Branch will become the perfect place for both a special occasion and everyday dining.”

Mercer Boardwalk will feature eight or more dining destinations when the 62,378-square-foot development is complete.

Mercer Boardwalk is adjacent to Mercer Crossing, a multi-phase development of single-family, multi-family and commercial space spanning 370 acres in Farmers Branch. The development is expanding with a new section that will include 69 townhomes in early 2024 as well as the future city-owned park. In addition, there are approximately 100,000 square feet of office space, several amenity centers, ample open space and walking paths.
