Dust off your boots, get out your western bling and make plans to attend Frisco Family Services’ 20th Annual Gala on Saturday, April 26 from 6:30 p.m. to midnight at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco. As the largest fundraising event for Frisco Family Services (FFS) and one of Collin County’s preeminent social events, more than 700 guests will experience a very inspirational evening of ONE…ONE Community, coming together for ONE Purpose, making ONE Big Impact. Presented by Rent-A-Center, Gala 2014 - ONE is an all-inclusive event featuring great food from area restaurants, complimentary beverages, and live entertainment. The evening will also include live and silent auctions and luxury raffle ticket drawings.

This year will mark the 20th Anniversary of the Gala as well as 20 years of FFS helping neighbors in need. Funds raised at the gala are used to support the programs and services of Frisco Family Services whose mission is to help members of the Frisco and Frisco ISD communities who are facing hunger, homelessness and other urgent needs improve their quality of life and achieve self-sufficiency.

“The funds raised at Gala 2014 - ONE are vital to ensuring FFS continues to meet the needs of our community,” Melanie Perkins, FFS development director, said.  “Every donor, sponsor and attendee help make ONE big impact in a fun and inspiring way."

Guests will enjoy dancing to the sounds of the Drywater Band, featuring Grammy Award-winning musicians, thrilling mechanical bull rides, and bidding on hundreds of fabulous live and silent auction items. The auction is well-known for unique theme baskets and an array of items, including jewelry, sporting event tickets, home decor, entertainment, weekend getaways, clothing, spa treatments, and more.  The live auction will feature several exotic trips, sports packages and one-of-a-kind experiences.

Everyone is welcome to participate in FFS’s luxury raffle with a choice of a $10,000 Visa Gift Card or a 7-Night Alaskan Cruise. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased online at www.friscofamilyservices.org/gala. Through Feb. 28, buyers can purchase two and get one raffle ticket free. Winners will be chosen on April 26 at the Gala. Winners do not need to be present to win.

Frisco Family Services is pleased to have Rent-A-Center as a first time Gala Title Sponsor. Rent-A-Center has a long tradition of supporting FFS and the Gala.

“Rent-A-Center has long-strived to improve the quality of life and its coworkers and customers alike,” Ricardo Cordon, Rent-A-Center SVP of International Governance, Tax & Assistant Treasurer, said. “With 700 plus coworkers calling the North Dallas area home, it’s especially fitting that we support Frisco Family Services’ tireless efforts to promote self-sufficiency and to enhance the quality of life of area residents.”

Other major sponsors include:  Advanced Fixtures Inc.; Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano; Baylor Medical Center at Frisco; Dr Pepper Snapple Group; Strasburger & Price, LLP; Jack and Carol Wilson; Land Rover Frisco; Feature Presentations; and Frisco Style Magazine.

FFS will pay tribute to the wonderful people who have taken a lead role in putting on this event over the past two decades, with a special emphasis on Clark and Brigid Lund who have dedicated their time and resources to every FFS Gala since its inception 20 years ago.

Gala 2014 - ONE is open to the public and reservations are $150 per person or $1500 for a reserved table of 10. Tickets may be purchased online at www.friscofamilyservices.org/gala or by calling 972-335-9495. Opportunities to donate to the silent auction, become a sponsor or volunteer are still available.
