Discover how to plant the seeds of successful early literacy education at Frisco Public Library’s Third Annual Grow a Reader Day. The event, on Saturday, August 11, from 9 am – 4:30 pm, offers participants the chance to earn up to six hours of Continuing Professional Education Credit (CPE) at no charge. Throughout the day, participants can attend a variety of sessions and panels exploring the latest and most effective tools and techniques for developing young minds.

“We want to inspire educators of all types: teachers, parents, and caregivers,” says Bonnie Barber, senior librarian at Frisco Public Library, when explaining the mission of Grow a Reader Day. “We are also committed to helping educators earn their required CPE credits without opening their wallets.”

Topics covered by early learning experts include play time, story time, reading time, STEM time, and ways to avoid behaviors that result in “time out.”

9 – 9:50 am                  Facilitation of Play -- Pediatrics Plus

10 – 11:30 am               Ready, Set, Read! What Comes First? -- Vanessa Levin
