A great day of golf, food and fun awaits golfers of all levels as Frisco Family Services hosts the 12th Annual Mayor’s Golf Classic at the Stonebriar Country Club Country Club Course on June 23 at 9 a.m.

Proceeds from the golf classic benefit FFS’ programs and services that assist over 3,200 individuals each year. Even with the recent economic upswing, Frisco Family Services continus to see an increase in demand for its services, which makes the success of the Mayor’s Golf Classic critical.

Sponsorships and player positions are available in the four-person team scramble. In addition to awards and special recognition for the top three teams, there will be prizes for a putting challenge, longest drive and closest to the pin. There will be multiple opportunities to win prizes for a hole in one, including a brand new Tesla luxury vehicle, and a chance for one lucky golfer to participate in a $1 million shoot-out. Each player will receive a brand-new $200 putter as part of their entry. Breakfast and an awards luncheon are also included.

Baylor Medical Center at Frisco returns this year as the Presenting Sponsor. Baylor’s continued commitment and partnership with FFS demonstrates their dedication to helping those in need or in crisis in the Frisco and Frisco ISD communities. When the hospital first opened its doors in 2002, they immediately began providing financial support for FFS clients, supporting FFS programs by hosting food and toy drives, and providing hot meals once a month for clients.

“Our partnership with Baylor and others like them in the community provides the support necessary for Frisco Family Services to carry on our mission,” Kimberly Girard, special events manager, said. “Together, we are able to keep food on the table and roofs over the heads of our clients, which has a positive impact on everyone in the community.”

Other premier sponsors for this year’s Mayor’s Golf Classic include Philips Creek Ranch, Community Trust Bank, Land Rover Frisco, Marek Brothers Systems, Town & Country Roofing, Bank of the Ozarks and CoServ Electric.

The Mayor’s Golf Classic also features a raffle. Everyone is encouraged to purchase a ticket for $10 for a chance to win a $500 Stonebriar Centre gift card, a ladies Michael Kors watch (valued at $300) or a $100 gift card to 3 Stacks Smoke & Tap House. Winner need not be present to win.
