Library members can learn more about the thousands of eBooks and audiobooks available to them when the OverDrive Digital Bookmobile visits Frisco Public Library on Friday, July 10th.

The Digital Bookmobile is a high-tech update of the traditional bookmobile that has served communities for decades. The vehicle is equipped with internet-connected PCs, high definition monitors, premium sound systems, and a variety of the most popular devices. Hands-on learning stations give visitors an opportunity to search the digital collection, use supported mobile devices, and experience eBooks, audiobooks and more from Frisco Public Library’s digital collection.

“This is another example of Frisco Library’s support of innovation,” says Shelley Holley, Library Director.  “The OverDrive Digital Bookmobile provides an opportunity for everyone to experiment with the latest in eBook and mobile technology. Stop by to get hands-on experience exploring your library’s downloadable collection.”

Frisco residents can browse the library’s website, borrow titles with a valid library card, and enjoy them on all major computers and devices, including iPhone®, iPad®, Nook®, Android™ phones and tablets, and Kindle®.  Available eBooks can be read immediately on any device with an internet browser and all titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees!

The OverDrive Digital Bookmobile will be parked on the east side of the library from 10am to 4pm on July 10th.  OverDrive and Library staff will be available to assist members throughout the day.
