Early voting begins Monday, April 28 and runs through Tuesday, May 6 in the 2014 Frisco ISD Bond Election. Election Day is Saturday, May 10.

Citizens are considering a $775 million bond package to provide educational facilities for up to 66,000 students, a figure the District is projected to reach in 2020.

To participate in the election, residents must be registered to vote. State law also requires voters to show photo identification when voting in person.

The following is a list of the acceptable forms of photo ID:

  • Texas driver license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
  • Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
  • Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
  • Texas concealed handgun license issued by DPS
  • United States military identification card containing the person’s photograph
  • United States citizenship certificate containing the person’s photograph
  • United States passport

With the exception of the U.S. citizenship certificate, the identification must be current or have expired no more than 60 days before being presented for voter qualification at the polling place.

Residents must also vote in the county in which they live.

In Collin County, residents may vote at any Collin County voting location.

In Denton County, residents may vote at any Denton County voting location during early voting, but must vote at their assigned precinct location on Election Day.

In addition to regular sites offered in Collin and Denton counties, temporary early voting will also be available at 49 Frisco ISD schools on designated days and times.
