For children, reading can often be a challenging process, and the Frisco Public Library is hoping to change that for participants in the Read to Rover program.

The library is hosting its Read to Rover program on Saturday, April 14 at 3 p.m.  Kids in first through fifth grades can go to the library and read to a Heart of Texas therapy dog in order to gain confidence while reading aloud.

Following the program, younger children may visit with therapy dogs.

The Read to Rover program is free for those who wish to attend, and participants are asked to bring a book and pick up a free ticket from the second-floor "Ask Us" desk on the day of the program.
