Dr. Amy Taylor, tND is a Traditional Naturopathic Doctor and Medical Esthetician. Taylor has been in the Beauty business her whole life, beginning as a model in high school. Taylor learned Make-up for runway, TV, photography, camouflage and stage and was introduced to skincare in the early 1970's. The Skin Care Industry we have in the United States was launched in 1979 here is Dallas and Taylor was there and many of her mentors she met at that show. Many went on to become icons in the industry, her colleagues and friends. During her career Taylor traveled coast to coast and to Germany for training. In 1987, Taylor was in the first class on Chemical Peel taught in the states. Other advanced workshops include; Microdermabrasion, Seaweed Treatments and Body Wraps, Clinical Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Shiatsu and more. In 2000, Taylor became an educator and trained others at 5 star resorts and spas, she is published in numerous trade journals and was a keynote speaker at Skincare conferences. In 1999, Taylor helped to create and trademark a treatment called "Eurostone Facial", a Yin and Yang Aromatherapy Facial that works with skin care and Charka centers, energize and balance the body.

The Skin is the largest organ in the body and it does reflect how we think and feel. Learning more about the connection between skin and health led her to get a degree as a Naturopathic Doctor in 1996. Taylor taught at Del Mar College a course in Herbs and Natural Health. Taylor also studied with Dr. Deepak Chopra, MD in Mind, Body and Ayurvedic Medicine. (Dr. Chopra was the first to look at the Mind and Body Connection and the book "The Secret" comes from his teachings.)

The name Beauty Herbs and Wellness comes from the concept that Beauty comes from within. What makes her Salon and Services unique is the combination of Quality and Value. All of her facials include a Microdermabrasion, chemical peel, hot stone massage and aromatherapy. Treatment on the neck adn decollete is included for free. "If you were to price each of these treatments separately this facial would be over $250. Chemical Peels and Microdermabrasion are amazing. Each treatment is customized; by choosing a variety of peels the procedure has no down time and is safe for all skin types. As you age your body and cells slow down their ability to repair and these treatments reverse that. The results don't happen overnight but you will see a change even after one treatment," says Taylor.
