OUR MISSION
Providing junior athletes in the 1st through 12th grades with a positive environment to train, learn and compete. Practices, games, professional training, and tournaments are carefully designed to advance the development of athletic skills and strategy of the game, while instilling discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship and integrity. Athletes will develop the physical and mental skills necessary for competitive volleyball.

WHO IS FRISCO ATHLETIC NETWORK
The initial organization began in 2003 as a single team of athletes looking for a higher level of volleyball. As the team became visible in the schools and area, others joined and volleyball fever arrived in Frisco! In 2006, Frisco Athletic Network, Inc. (FAN) was formed as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. FAN joined the City of Frisco Sports Council as a participating member in the growth of youth sports in Frisco.
Specific Programs under FAN representing youth volleyball training and competition:
LoneStar Volleyball Club (LSVBC): Junior’s affiliate of the North Texas Region of USA Volleyball. LSVBC provides the technical, tactical and physical training necessary to allow athletes to be strong, successful individual and team competitors. Our professional coaching team successfully trains athletes to reach their maximum playing potential through intense practices and highly competitive tournaments through the club season, November through July. Club volleyball is the highest level of competition for junior athletes prior to college.
LoneStar Youth Volleyball League: Hosts 1st through 6th Grades in recreational divisions and 10U through 18U in competitive and select divisions. FYVB provides an organized environment for local practices, competitive match play and a bracket play tournament. Volunteer coaches lead the way in recreational and competitive divisions with support from LoneStar VBC coaches
LoneStar Volleyball Academy: Academy training program is the first level of learning through the LoneStar training curriculum. Academy is designed to train novice to moderately experienced volleyball athletes. With professional coaches leading the way, athletes receive a strong foundation of technical mechanics and tactical skills.
LoneStar Skills Circuit: Skills Circuit training is an advanced training program and is the “next level” of
training in the LoneStar curriculum. Athletes focus on enhancing their skill packages with detailed
training on setting, attacking, serving, passing and defense as well as consistency in ball control. The
circuit finishes with performance training specifically designed for female volleyball athletes.
LoneStar Elite Position Training: The Elite Position training will develop and enhance appropriate
footwork patterns, skill packages and game situation management skills through individual and small
group drills.
 Setting: The content covered will include management of location (space and time),
management of assets, phase responsibilities of the position and mental/physical preparation
for competition and practice.
 Ball Control - Defense: The potential content covered will include digging with a variety of
range and velocity, identifying appropriate focus during defensive progressions, defining and
developing phase responsibilities and mental/physical preparation for competition and practice.
 Outsides/Attacking: The content covered will include attacking from various locations and
tempos, identifying appropriate terminal strategies, defining and refining phase responsibilities
of the position and mental/physical preparation for competition and practice.
 Middle Hitter: The content covered will include phase change responsibilities and patterns
associated with them, identifying appropriate focus during defensive progressions,
understanding offensive strategies and implement appropriate adaptations, attacking from
various positions with different runs and tempos and mental/physical preparation for
competition and practice.
 Serving: Training designed for the jump float server working on locations and speed as well as
an introduction to the jump top spin. Pre-requisite: 2 plus years club experience on a national
or elite team.
LoneStar Clinics & Camps: LoneStar Volleyball offers a variety of camps and clinics which provide
training on general skills as well as specialty training focusing on specific skills. LoneStar Volleyball clinics
will provide an opportunity for athletes to train with the LoneStar coaches on skill mechanics and have
some fun on the courts in skill based drills and games. Lonestar Volleyball was the only volleyball facility
in North Texas to offer camps with three time U.S. Olympian and 2008 Gold Medalist, Ryan Millar along
with Venezuelan Olympian and All-American, Joel Silva will host a 4 day clinic at LoneStar Sports Center.
The Next Level Volleyball Camps are created for all levels of players and teams looking to reach The Next
Level of performance. To be great at the sport of volleyball you need to always be progressing. Reaching
and attaining goals throughout your career is only achieved through hard work, a competitive attitude,
dedication, and passion.
LoneStar Private Training: LoneStar Private Lessons are conducted by experienced, professional
coaches. Training includes setting, positional hitting, passing, defense, blocking, the mental game as well
as transition and footwork. The training plan is customized for the athlete to assist them in reaching
their goals in volleyball.
