Provide Clean Water for One Person for Life! Walk the St. Philip's Frisco 6K for Water

Join St. Philip’s Frisco Saturday, April 28 for St. Philip's 6K for Water at Frisco High School, to help provide desperately-needed clean water for the developing world.  Take part in a morning of family fun and activity for an extraordinary cause – each walk will provide clean water for one person for life!

Why 6K? The distance is significant. 6 kilometers (15 laps around a track) is the average distance people – usually women and girls – walk to get water for their families in the developing world. Often the walk is dangerous, children miss school, and the water is dirty and full of diseases. Each step taken in the St. Philip’s 6K is one these children won’t have to!

“Water is refreshing, life-giving and necessary for so many of our daily activities” says Mary Hendrix, Director of Mission for St. Philip’s Frisco, “yet so many people live without it”. “St. Philip’s is excited to partner with World Vision on April 28 for the 6K Race for Water, and rally our community to join us in providing clean water to those in need.”

St. Philip’s 6K for Water will be held at Frisco High School (6401 Parkwood Drive) starting at 8:30 am. Run, walk, or even push a stroller around the track and change a life forever (participants are not required to complete the 6K distance in order to join in)!  In addition to the walk, enjoy fun activities for the entire family including photo booth, face painting, snacks, learning stations and more. Each registered participant will receive a medal to commemorate the occasion (this is not a chip-timed race).
