St. Philip's Frisco Celebrates 15th Anniversary by Reaching Out

St. Philip’s Frisco recently celebrated its 15th Anniversary of “Growing Faith That Impacts the World for Christ” with a weekend filled with worship, fellowship and reaching out to others in very big ways.

St. Philip’s set an initial God-sized goal of raising $15,000 to benefit three outreach partners – Frisco Family Services, Bonton Farms and Embrace TX – and to start a Compassion Fund to help members of their own church family, or members of the community, in times of crisis or need. Each family was also asked to “Find 15” – 15+ items for the local food pantry and 15+ items of gently used clothing or shoes benefiting the Trusted World organization.

God obviously had even bigger plans! St. Philip’s Rector, Fr. Greg Methvin, summed up the milestone moment. “St. Philip's launched 15 years ago with a strong heartbeat to serve in Christ's name.  That pulse is stronger than ever as evidenced by the generosity of our parish:  2,200 lbs of clothing donated for the needy, 500 lbs of food gathered for the hungry, and $44,000 raised for meeting a variety of needs in our community.”

St. Philip’s also welcomed back founding Rector, Fr. Clay Lein and his wife Jill for the weekend for a special Anniversary message at all three weekend worship services and a celebratory breakfast on Sunday, April 30th.

Thanks be to God for 15 wonderful years of Impacting the World for Christ, and to a continued future of following His call to serve others in His name! Visit https://www.stphilipsfrisco.org/ to learn more.
