St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Frisco will hold 5 ‘Stations of the Cross’ services on Good Friday, April 18th, commemorating the path Jesus walked on his way to the crucifixion. ‘Stations of the Cross’ incorporates a series of 14 visual reminders, or stations, of Jesus’ last hours. During the service, participants walk slowly along the stations, pausing at each for a devotional reading, quiet meditation and prayer. Each ‘Stations of the Cross’ service provides a deeply moving experience for the entire family.

St. Philip’s ‘Stations of the Cross’ services are appropriate and uniquely-geared for all ages:

Traditional Stations of the Cross at noon and 6:00 pm – led by clergy using the traditional devotion booklet; appropriate for all ages.

Children’s Stations of the Cross at 2:30 and 4:00 pm – these interactive services, led by Fr. Clay Lein, will focus on deepening young children’s understanding of Jesus’ last hours, using easy-to-understand language, and will include keepsakes from each station to help children remember the events along Jesus’ path.

Family Stations of the Cross from 2:30 – 5:30 pm – this self-led service follows a family-friendly devotional booklet and allows families to experience Jesus’ walk to the crucifixion together at their own pace.

St. Philip’s is located at 6400 Stonebrook Parkway in Frisco. Easter weekend services will be held at 2:00, 4:00 and 7:00 pm on Saturday, April 19th (Children’s Services with egg hunt following @ 2:00 and 4:00) and 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 am on Sunday, April 20th.
