The Frisco Independent School District will conduct a public hearing for the 2012-2013 Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) on February 10, 2014, as part of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees.

The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Frisco ISD Administration Building located at 5515 Ohio Drive in Frisco.

Texas Education Code B39.053 requires each school district's board of trustees to publish an annual performance report that includes the TAPR report; campus performance objectives; a report of violent or criminal incidents; and information received under the Texas Education Code B51.403(e) from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

The Texas Academic Performance Report, which replaces the Academic Excellence Indicator System Report, shows Frisco ISD and all 53 of its rated schools “Met Standard” in all indices measured under the new state accountability system.

The indices reflect student performance on the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR) exams, Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) assessments, graduation rates and more.

District and campus scores were well above state targets, with many schools earning distinction in one or more indices.

The TAPR report breaks down performance by grade level and specific subgroups of students.
