The weather has cooled off significantly within the last month, and if you're like most people, you've probably invested in a new coat or two to get you through this winter.  If your closet is overflowing, consider donating a few of your old coats to the Project Warm Us efforts.

Project Warm Us, an organization formed to donate coats and blankets to the homeless of North Texas, is attempting to collect 5,723 coats and blankets by Thanksgiving—one for every homeless person in Dallas.  So far, the organization has collected 2,504 items, so they definitely need your help in preparing the homeless for the upcoming cold, winter weather.

Project Warm Us is collecting gently-used coats and blankets in all sizes and genders, so it's likely that any donation you have to give will greatly assist the cause.

Since the project runs until Thanksgiving, donating your coats and blankets is a real way to appreciate what you have this holiday season.

Frisco has over 20 locations for people to drop items, so click here to find the location nearest to you.

For more information about Project Warm Us, please visit the organization's website at www.projectwarm.us.
