Though a lot of attention has been brought to today's date (11-11-11), today marks another special occasion- Veterans Day. In honor of our veterans, Frisco will hold the annual Frisco Community Parade to mark the occurance.
The parade will be held on Saturday, November 12, at 11 a.m., leaving from Pizza Hut Park and will travel east on Main Street through downtown Frisco, eventually ending at North County Road.
The Frisco Community Parade, which originally developed as a high school homecoming parade, now serves to showcase community spirit. This year's parade theme is "Heroes," and will feature three Grand Marshals: Major Rob Aguam, United States Marine Corps; Officer Chris Cogan, Frisco Police Department’s “Officer of the Year 2010”; and Firefighter/Paramedic Will Tramel, Frisco Fire Department’s “Firefighter of the Year 2010.”
Join local residents to honor those who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces tomorrow at the Frisco Community Parade.
