Efforts Support Her Team at the Dallas Arthritis Walk May 18

Thanks to 11-year-old Claire Brenner, and her classmates at Frisco Montessori Academy, the youngster led a school read-a-thon and raised more than $4,000 for the Arthritis Foundation.  Claire, who was diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis at age 6, is not only generating funds for the Arthritis Foundation, but also drumming up support for her team that will participate in the upcoming 2013 Dallas Arthritis Walk, Saturday, May 18 at 12700 Park Central. Claire is among more than 300,000 children nationwide who suffer from Juvenile Arthritis and supporting the Dallas Arthritis Walk is one way she and her family engage their community for this worthy cause.  The Dallas Arthritis Walk is Arthritis Foundation's annual event that raises awareness and funds to fight arthritis and it draws significant participation from Collin County residents every year during National Arthritis Month in May.

Claire hosted an ice cream social at her school to thank all of her supporters for their contributions to her efforts on behalf of the Arthritis Foundation. The Arthritis Foundation is working to improve the lives of the 3.9 million adults and 25,000 children, like Claire, across Texas who struggle every day with this serious health epidemic. To help reduce the unacceptable pain, disability and other burdens of arthritis and related diseases, the Arthritis Foundation offers information, events, research grants, advocacy activities and other vital programs and services.
