Frisco police officers responded to 6106 Arlington Drive at approximately 9:49 p.m. on Monday, March 18, in response to a domestic disturbance.
The victim drove to the Frisco Police Department to elude her fiancé, 38-year-old William Chad Coleman. The victim reported that Coleman chased her from the residence in her vehicle. She went on to state that he pointed a handgun at her in a threatening manner. Coleman did not follow the victim to the police department.
Officers arrived at 6106 Arlington Drive and observed Coleman inside the residence carrying several firearms. The officers contained the area and called the Special Operations Unit to the scene. Communication with Coleman was made several times through 911. Coleman threatened to come out "blazing fire." Officers heard loud noises from within the house and also the breaking of windows. A fire began in the garage with several small explosions.
Coleman eventually came out of the burning house and surrendered to police without further incident. He was transported to Centennial Medical Center in Frisco, where he was treated for smoke inhalation. Coleman was then transported to the Frisco Jail and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Coleman’s bond on the Aggravated Assault Charge was set at $150,000. Arson charges are pending the outcome of further investigation.
