Pulitzer Prize winner and author of “My Dyslexia” Philip Schultz will visit Collin College campuses March 5-7 for live discussion, writer’s workshop and signing events.

Through a school-wide read of “My Dyslexia,” Collin College brought the challenges individuals with learning disabilities face to light for its students.

“We found the book beautifully written and saw great potential for education on dyslexia,” said Betty Bettacchi, district coordinator for the Book-In-Common program. “Our students now have a good understanding of what struggles people may face and are sympathetic toward those ‘blessed with dyslexia.”’

Affecting one in five children, dyslexia is a common disorder. Schultz said he hopes to serve as inspiration for the success of others with disorders like dyslexia.
