Dallas Women’s Foundation has elected Ashlee Hunt Kleinert as chair of the board of directors for a two-year term, beginning February 1, 2013. Nine local women leaders were elected to serve three-year terms on the board of directors.

Ashlee Hunt Kleinert has served on the Dallas Women’s Foundation board since 2007. Ashlee is an entrepreneur in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors.

She founded Ruthie’s Food Trucks, a business comprising Ruthie’s Rolling Café, Ruthie’s Cheesesteak Café and Ruthie’s Rolling Creperie. Ashlee and her husband, Chris, co-founded Executives in Action, a nonprofit organization that leverages the talent and expertise of executive-level professionals in a period of transition with nonprofit organizations needing help with a specific project related to the skills of the professional. Nearly 600 executives have completed 500+ projects for more than 200 area nonprofits.

In addition to serving as chair of the Board of the Dallas Women’s Foundation, she also serves on boards at Methodist Hospital Foundation, Genesis Women’s Shelter, The Senior Source, New Friends New Life, Caron Treatment Centers - Texas, CARE (Chemical Awareness Resources & Education) and One Heart Project.

The new members of the Dallas Women’s Foundation Board of Directors are: Patricia (Patsy) W. Fagadau, community leader and partner at Beckerman Fagadau Interiors; Janice Harissis, vice president and director of audit services for Texas Instruments; Sharon E. Lyle, president of Dallas Ideaspace and co- executive director of KIPP Dallas-Fort Worth; Diane H. Reeves, president of D. Reeves Productions; Michelle Phillips Scheef, an attorney with Scheef and Stone, LLP, and adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University; Janice V. Sharry, partner at Haynes and Boone, LLP; Thear S. Suzuki, principal in advisory services at Ernst & Young; Rebecca Tudor, co-founder and investment, finance and operating executive at Twinrose Investments, LLC, and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Dallas representative; and Jody Weiss Venturoni, founding partner at LDWWgroup.

A new executive committee was selected from current board members, including Chair Ashlee Hunt Kleinert, Mary Jane M. Anderson, Ellenore Baker, Diana C. Dutton, Gwen McKinney, Maria S. Mendez, Laura K. Moore, Lisa B. Ragland, Maj. General Mary L. Saunders and Shawna D. Wilson.

In addition to the members of the executive committee, those serving currently on the Dallas Women’s Foundation Board of Directors are: Laurel M. Brewster, Cecilia R. Cox, Pan A. Garner, Ph.D., Sara R. Godecke, Mary Patricia L. Higgins, Charlene W. Howell, Anita E. Kelley, Mirjam S. Kirk, Katherine Wynne LaLonde, Caren K. Lock, Lynn McBee, Janie Strauss McGarr, Jennifer Evans Morris, Marcia Page, Leigh C. Richter, Sue Schoolfield Spellman and Debby H. Spradley.
