Frisco ISD continued a long history of success in Academic Decathlon this past weekend in San Antonio.

Five teams matched wits with students from across the state, each FISD team finishing in the top ten.

The team from Lone Star High School placed second in the small schools division.

In the medium schools division, the team from Liberty High School finished sixth, Wakeland High School finished seventh, Centennial High School finished eighth and Heritage High School finished ninth.

A team is comprised of nine students who are tested in ten categories including art, economics, essay, interview, language and literature, mathematics, music, science, social science and speech.
