The City of Frisco needs residents’ help to shape its parks, trails and recreation programs for the future.  Frisco Parks and Recreation is launching a ‘Join the Conversation’ campaign, designed to brainstorm ideas, devise solutions and engage the community in the planning process as the department develops its long-term Open Space Master Plan.

The ‘Join the Conversation’ campaign kicks off Sept. 30 – Oct. 4 with the debut of an interactive website where residents can contribute ideas or comment on those shared by others. The website can be accessed by clicking here.

The visioning week will also feature two public meetings, where residents can participate in interactive, brainstorming exercises. The first meeting will be Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at ‘The Depot’, 6455 Page Street. The second meeting will be Wednesday, Oct. 2 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., at the Senior Center at Frisco Square, 6670 Moore St.

The Strategic Comprehensive Open Space Planning Exercise (SCOPE) will take place over the next 12–16 months. Feedback received during SCOPE will help shape the direction, development and delivery of the city’s parks and recreation services over the next 20 years.
