CEO Ben Pogue builds his children’s school

McKinney-based Pogue Construction Company, L.P. performing General Contractor, Construction Management and Design/Build services is a leader in the construction of Educational Facilities, Office Buildings, Faith-Based Facilities, Parking Structures, Healthcare, Retail, and Civic Facilities, but one project is really a family affair.  Pogue Construction is expanding Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco, TX, a school attended by CEO and President Ben Pogues’ son, daughter, niece and nephew, who will get to see firsthand what their dad and uncle does for a living.  Pogue takes pride in his work and his children and is excited about this unique opportunity to combine the two.

Legacy Christian Academy – Upper School Phase II project will add to an existing upper school facility and includes renovations to existing portions of the building to convert an office area to a kitchen and an art classroom into a science classroom.  

“Every so often my kids will ask about the progress on their school,” said Pogue. “I don’t get too technical but they’ve seen the renderings of what it will look like when it is completed.  I enjoy sharing this with them.”

The groundbreaking for the school’s expansion was held in mid-September. The project is expected to be completed by January 2017.
