Batter up! North Texas legend Dirk Nowitzki will head to the baseball diamond for the fan-favorite Dirk Nowitzki’s 2016 Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game presented by BaylorScott&White Medical Center – Frisco on Friday, June 10, at 7 p.m. at the Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco (7300 RoughRiders Trl). Game goers are encouraged to come out early for family-fun festivities and a Heroes Special Olympics All-Star Softball Game plus post-game fireworks to round out the evening. Last year’s game sold out, so get tickets early!

For the 15th year, two baseball teams made up of celebrity players will slug it out for nine innings of hard-charging, umpires-umpping, trash-talking, base-stealing, home run-hitting baseball!

Famous faces will include Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas Mavericks MVP and 2011 NBA champion), Deron Williams** (Dallas Mavericks point guard), Cole Beasley (Dallas Cowboys wide receiver), Byron Jones (Dallas Cowboys defensive back), David Lee (Dallas Mavericks forward), Chandler Parsons (Dallas Mavericks forward), J.J. Barea (Dallas Mavericks guard), Devin Harris** (Dallas Mavericks point guard), Wesley Matthews (Dallas Mavericks guard), JaVale McGee (Dallas Mavericks center), Salah Mejri (Dallas Mavericks center), Justin Anderson (Dallas Mavericks guard), Jeremy Evans (Dallas Mavericks forward), Rick Carlisle** (Dallas Mavericks head coach), Dwight Powell (Dallas Mavericks forward), Michael Young (former Texas Rangers player), David Murphy (former Texas Rangers player),Plano-raised actor Chace Crawford (TV series Gossip Girl and Blood and Oil), actor Geoff Stults (TV series The Odd Couple and upcoming movies Hey Brother and The Kicker), plus more names to be announced soon. Nationally acclaimed singer, songwriter and Broadway performer Shayna Steele will perform the National Anthem.

Tickets are on sale now for $9, $13, $17 and $20 at Ticketmaster (800-745-3000 or or at the Dr Pepper Ballpark Box Office during office hours. Will call will open at 10 a.m. the day of the game (June 10). Tickets also will be available at the door.
