Centennial Medical Center Named One of the Healthiest Employers in North Texas

Centennial Medical Center in Frisco, Texas, was recently named one of the Dallas Business Journal’s Healthiest Employers in North Texas for its strong commitment to creating a healthy workplace.

“We are honored to be recognized for this award,” said Stephanie Talley, Centennial Medical Center’s chief human relations officer. "Our primary goal as a hospital is to help our patients stay safe and healthy, so naturally, it's important that we find creative ways to ensure our employees also practice a full, healthy lifestyle."

The annual Healthiest Employers awards program evaluates organizations using six key categories: culture and leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communication and marketing, programming and interventions and reporting and analysis. With more than 500 employees, Centennial Medical Center was selected in the large company category, along with 19 other companies.

In its efforts to promote employee healthy living year round, Centennial Medical Center implements a variety of wellness programs, including an incentivized point system. The human resources department plans healthy activities and challenges regularly and tracks point accumulations for participating employees. Those who amass more than 100 credits over the course of the year are eligible to receive monetary incentives or deposits into their health savings accounts.

Numerical rankings for each honored company will be announced on April 12 at a luncheon and health fair at the Marriott Dallas City Center, in addition to being featured in a special publication of the Dallas Business Journal on April 13.
