St. John Lutheran Church of Frisco names Rev. Clint Stark as Pastor

St. John Lutheran Church of Frisco today announced that Rev. Clint Stark was installed as the church’s first pastor on Sunday, October 30.  A welcome dinner followed the service.  St. John Lutheran Church currently worships at Holiday Inn Express in Frisco.

"It's humbling to be a part of a new mission congregation and serve as the first pastor,” said Stark. “By God's grace, the pulpit at St. John will proclaim the Gospel of Jesus for all to hear."

St. John Lutheran Church of Frisco is a mission of Faith Lutheran Church of Plano.  St. John’s first worship service was in April of 2015 in Frisco.  They were chartered as a member of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod of Texas in December 2015.

"We are delighted that St. John Lutheran Church has their own pastor,” said Rev. James Woelmer of Lucas, who is Faith Lutheran Church's senior pastor.  "Rev. Stark will be a great blessing to the members of St. John through the faithful preaching and teaching of God’s Word.”

Stark earned a degree in Latin American studies and history from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002.   He graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana with a Master of Divinity degree in 2007.

Prior to his work at St. John Lutheran Church of Frisco, he was pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.

Stark and his wife Brianne have four children: Mary, Henry, Wyatt and Simeon
