Frisco Public Library is proud to introduce a story time class specifically designed for families with children age eight and younger who are prone to sensory overload.  The 45-minute session will include books, songs, sensory activities, and the opportunity to explore educational play options geared to this audience.

“We hope families with children on the autism spectrum or who have sensory processing issues will join us,” says Bonnie Barber, Librarian—Youth Services.  “This is a great chance for them to see that the library is a fun, welcoming place for them to play and learn.”

Families are encouraged to view the Library Social Story before attending.  The social story is a visual tour of the library designed to increase comfort and familiarity.

Sensory Story Time debuts Saturday, November 7th from 3:00 to 3:45 pm.  Online registration opens October 30 at friscolibrary.com/youth.  This event is free.
