Bold Idea's computer science programs provide education in computer coding concepts and computational thinking, mentoring and a team-based learning environment for students ages 7 - 14. Starting Feb. 8, Bold Idea will offer a course on mobile app development for 6th - 9th graders at the Microsoft Store at Stonebriar Centre, Wednesdays, 5-7pm.
Bold Idea programs empower students to create their ideas through weekly coding sessions with support from volunteer mentors. In the 14-week ideaSpark course, students develop proficiency in computer programming languages and collaborate on their own creative project, from mobile apps to websites. At the end of the semester, student teams share their projects at a Demo Day event with family, mentors and the community in the audience.
