When Worlds Collide: Balancing Identity in a Dual Culture Home

Does it seem like you and your children are worlds apart?  Building a strong relationship with your children as they get older is hard enough as is.  Doing so when you’ve come to the U.S. from a different culture while also parenting your children in America adds layers of complexity.  Those dynamics can place incredible strain on how you communicate and connect with your children.  You are from different worlds, and your family may be struggling to find its cultural identity.

Join us in a conversation with therapists who have first hand experience with that cultural tug-of-war. We aim to help you better relate to your children as they struggle to understand you and themselves in a dual culture home.

Your panelists come from Chinese, Guatemalan, and Haitian backgrounds.  Max of 20 participants so reserve your FREE spot for some wine, cheese, and quality discussion here:

Your panelists come from Haitian, Chinese, and Guatemalan backgrounds:

  • Jenny Wang, LPC-Supervisor
  • Dieula Previlon, LPC & Life Coach
  • Sucely de Leon, LPC-Intern
