New School Help for the Old School Parent:  Preparing Your Child’s Emotional Readiness

Transitioning back to school after a long, fun-filled summer typically means supply runs and new backpacks, but have you considered how to and the importance of preparing your child emotionally?  School isn’twhat it used to be.  For many children, returning to school is a major stressor.  Whether they’re heading off to Kindergarten or starting their first day of high school, their needs and struggles vary across each developmental stage. This means parents need to stay ahead!

We will discuss how to manage expectations and connections across academics, extracurricular activities, peer interactions and overall, navigating a new environment.   You’ll leave with pointers and resources to fill your child’s backpack and help them start their school year off on the right foot.

This FREE event is open to parents with children of all ages.  Join us for a pep talk over wine and cheese, and invite a friend and relax and “wine” down with us on Wednesday evening.  Sign up here:
